Coronado is a small island, but each pocket has its own character. Here's a quick guide to the main areas.
The Village
Coronado's historic residential core on the bay side, centered on Orange Avenue's shops, restaurants, and Spreckels Park. Walkable, tree-lined, and home to much of the island's classic architecture.
Coronado Shores
Ten oceanfront high-rise towers spread across 32 beachfront acres, just south of the Hotel del Coronado — condo living with direct sand access and sweeping ocean views.
Coronado Cays
About four miles south of the Village, an eleven-village boater's community built around private inlets and peninsulas. Many homes have their own docks and slips.
Country Club Estates
A quiet neighborhood on the northwest end, next to Naval Air Station North Island. It takes its name from the Coronado Country Club, which closed in 1952, and its homes were built after that.
